The BT1 Bluetooth Module is designed to attach to the PORTKEYS BM5 monitor to let you remotely control the Blackmagic Design Pocket Camera 4K and 6K. It provides wireless control over functions and settings such as record start/stop, focus, zoom, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, resolution, frame rate, codec, and more. The module screws onto the back of the monitor and connects to it with an included short cable. After some initial setup in the monitor’s software, the module is ready to be used.
With the BM5 monitor also compatible with several other cameras, the BT1 Bluetooth Module will be able to provide control over select functions of some of these, but wired control using dummy battery cables PORTKEYS says are scheduled to be released. The control-compatible cameras include the Sony a7 II, a7 III, a7R IV, and a9. The module will similarly be able to operate the Tilta Nucleus-N and Nucleus-M lens controllers. In all these pairings, control will be limited to only a few functions.
